Our Dirty Vegan Food
Our version of the growing Dirty vegan lifestyle is using wholesome ingredients without compromising flavor or satisfaction. Each and every recipe has been tweaked and perfected over decades. Our goal is to authentically replicate southern cuisine to such an extent that neither carnivore nor the strictest vegan and everyone in between can discern between our plant version and the one that contains animal products. It has taken many years of experimenting with ingredients to achieve the exact flavors and textures needed to even come close to this goal. To put it bluntly; do not fret, your meal from Dirty Lettuce will be well seasoned with an abundance of fresh herbs and our house made blends of essential southern seasonings.
Meet the Team
From the haunted cotton fields of the Mississippi Delta to the rollicking streets of New Orleans and bayous of Louisiana, my first 18 years were a study in the history, culture and of course food of these places. Jackson Mississippi is where I was born and from birth unschooled in every sense of the word, never stepping foot inside a schoolhouse. It was this free spirited nature that also led my parents to raise us vegan/vegetarian in the heart of the meat centric south.
